CTLA and CDLA Legal Professionalism CLE and Happy Hour Celebration
Join CDLA & CTLA Nov. 6 at ViewHouse Downtown for a CLE ethics discussion, happy hour, and awards honoring Betsy Kleger & Brett Huff.

In honor of Legal Professionalism Month, the Colorado Defense Lawyers Association (CDLA) and CTLA are hosting a special CLE ethics discussion and happy hour on Thursday, November 6 at the ViewHouse Downtown (2015 Market Street, Denver) starting at 4:30 p.m.
During the ethics CLE presentation, Denver District Court Judge J. Eric Elliff will discuss "The Oath We Take, and Professionalism in the Modern Era." He will identify common ethical challenges; provide actionable strategies for responding to challenges; and clarify when professional misconduct must be reported under applicable rules. One CLE Credit / One Ethics CLE Credit Available.
In addition, CDLA and CTLA also plan to honor this year’s Professionalism Award recipients – Betsy Kleger of Bayer & Carey P.C. and Brett Huff of Huff & Leslie LLP. These awards are given to CDLA and CTLA attorney members for the highest standards of competency, ethics and professionalism.
CTLA member, Brett Huff, is a managing partner at Huff & Leslie, LLP with more than 25 years of experience representing clients in Colorado and Wyoming. Throughout his career, Brett has represented people who have suffered injuries, catastrophic injuries, brain injuries and death.
At the same time, CTLA also is proud to recognize Betsy with the 2025 Legal Professionalism Award. CTLA members often say that Betsy exemplifies skill, mentorship, and grace. Her practice focuses on the defense of personal injury cases. She has tried over 50 jury trials in her career, the majority of which have been in various Colorado State District Courts.
